TRBOR Boron Technologies Inc. is a company established to produce boron carbide with the initiatives of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and the contributions of the Presidency of Defense Industry.
Its partners include the Eti Maden, ETİMİNE A.Ş. (a subsidiary company of Eti Maden) and SSTEK (Defense Industry Technologies Inc.). The facility established in the Bandırma campus is one of the few in the world and the first in Türkiye.
In this facility, boric acid and carbon source inputs produced by Eti Maden are converted into boron carbide by reaction at 2.400 ˚C with 4 electric arc furnaces and has an installed capacity to produce 1.350 tons per year. The facility, which has a closed area of 13.400 m2, consists of 3 main production buildings, comprehensive station building, laboratory building and administrative building. The company’s headquarter located in Istanbul.
Founded in 2018, TRBOR started mass production in September 2024 and started to produce Boron Carbide. It provides services to potential customers operating especially in the Refractory, Abrasive and Defense / Ballistic sectors.
The company’s primary objective is to meet the boron carbide needs of the Republic of Türkiye’s defense industry. Additionally, in the fields of Refractory and Abrasives, the company has been serving companies in the sector from Europe to Asia, from Asia to America.
TRBOR is capable of producing products that meet international standards as well as custom products tailored to customer needs.
